Configuring a Dialup Account for Windows 2000

Click the Start button, Settings, Network and Dial-up Connections and then click Make New Connection.
Click Next.
Select Dial-up to private network and click Next.
Select the check box Use dialing rules and then enter the Cyberlynk dialup number for your area. You can check http://phonelist.cyberlynk.net for an up-to-date listing by area code. Then click Next.
Choose the option which is best for your situation and then click Next.
Enter the name of this dialup connection - Cyberlynk and check the box Add a shortcut to my desktop. Then click Finish.
Now enter your Username and password, check the box to Save password, and click Properties.
Make sure your options match this screen exactly. Then click on the Options tab.
Make sure your options match this screen exactly. Then click on the Security tab.
Make sure your options match this screen exactly. Then click on the Networking tab.
Make sure your options match this screen exactly. Then highlight the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click the Properties box.
Enter the DNS server addresses as shown. Your screen should match this one when your finished. Then click OK.

Cyberlynk's DNS Servers:

66.185.16.130
66.185.16.131

 

 

Click on the Sharing tab. Make sure your options match this screen exactly. Then click OK.
You are now finished configuring your Cyberlynk Dialup connection. Please read the next step to learn more about using your dialup account.
There will be an icon on your desktop named Cyberlynk. Double click on this every time you want to get on the Internet. Click Dial and your computer will connect to CyberLynk's network.
